In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the provisions of the Rental Agreement will prevail.

Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle from Car Hire in Paddock Wood, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions can vary depending on the vehicle type. Drivers under 25 may incur additional charges. A valid full driving licence for the relevant vehicle category is required, along with proof of identity and current address. Payment information and a security deposit are also necessary. Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations with Car Hire can be made via our website, over the phone, or directly at our Paddock Wood office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with transactions processed securely through trusted payment providers.
4. Collecting and Returning Vehicles
- At the time of vehicle collection in Paddock Wood, it is your responsibility to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and must be signed by both parties. You are expected to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, accounting only for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated, and charges will be applied accordingly. The vehicle should also be returned with the same level of fuel as when collected; refueling charges will be incurred if the fuel level is lower. You will be liable for any damage or loss up to the specified excess, unless you opt for additional coverage. Damage resulting from negligence or misuse remains your responsibility, irrespective of insurance provisions.
6. Modifications and Cancellations
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. Please check your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for detailed information. Cancellations made late or failure to show up may incur charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- The vehicle must not be used for illegal purposes or activities. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or other risky endeavors. Transporting hazardous materials is prohibited. Sub-letting to unauthorized individuals or allowing unapproved drivers is not allowed. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden. The vehicle should only be used for its intended purpose and within specified passenger and weight limits. Operating the vehicle outside of agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Paddock Wood will not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the rental amount paid in the last 12 months. This provision does not limit our liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
Paddock Wood Legal Framework
These Terms are regulated by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the relevant courts.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
